I am an independent scholar who lives in Victoria, British Columbia. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Victoria in English. Then, I subsequently completed two Master’s Degrees, one at Trent University in Theory, Culture and Politics, and one at Concordia University in Philosophy.
I have been published in journals including Dialogue: Canadian Philosophical Review and Philosophia as well as in a collection of essays entitled The Everyday: Experiences, Concepts, and Narratives (see my academia.edu page). I have also had poetry published in an assortment of journals. While I was accepted into my preferred PhD program (Philosophy at the University of Guelph), I chose not to pursue that path. I now work in public policy, and engage with philosophy and poetry in my spare time. I also practice Wing Chun kung fu and host a salon.
